HIGH TECH TILE

The recent explosion of new color palettes, exotic patterns, and striking shapes & sizes in stoneware, porcelain, & glass are offering a glamorous antidote to traditional tile surfaces. Leading the pack in popularity are the new high-tech porcelains. In the late 1980’s, the Italians put their technical expertise to the test & created porcelain tiles, a frost-resistant, stone look-alike alternative. Porcelains’ durability and non-slip properties make it ideal for a number of applications. Sea Pointe Designers like to spec porcelain tile for its almost zero water absorption rate & excellent wear rating. Clients also like it’s “color all the way through qualities and it’s performance as a favorite Southern California indoor/outdoor tile.

HOW CABINETS ARE FINISHED

Our Omega and Dynasty products feature a durable coating system derived from custom formulations developed by leaders in the wood coating industry.

These formulations implement blends of high grade resins with excellent performance characteristics such as resistance to sunlight, mars, temperature, stains, water, and household detergents. The catalyzed finish uses chemical cross-linking to create a high quality, hard wearing finish. These coatings are applied utilizing the latest state-of-the-art equipment and closely monitored each and every day.

Each finish can have up to 30 steps depending on glaze and distressing selections. Finishes are hand rubbed and hand sanded for color depth and smoothness. High-build clear coat provides a rich luster to the finished cabinet. The finishes are tested constantly at our facilities and at the coating manufacturer’s lab to ensure the desired performance requirements are maintained.

CABINET CLEANING TIPS

No matter what type of cabinets you own, always test cleaners on an inconspicuous spot inside the door to make sure you won’t damage the finish

The fine furniture finish of your cabinetry is designed to withstand daily usage. All wood surfaces may be cleaned with a damp cloth moistened with soap suds (not detergent), then wiped dry with another soft cloth.

Painted, plastic & metal surfaces sometimes benefit from being cleaned with creamy liquid wax. It leaves behind a protective coating that helps repel dirt.

If you’ve finished cleaning your wood cabinets and the surface still looks dull, try a solvent-based wood wax. Buffing can help recreate the original luster.

A soft cotton cloth is recommended to wipe any moisture, spills or standing liquid from your cabinetry. While paper products are very good at absorbing spills, they are abrasive when used for cleaning.

5 SIGNS – IT’S TIME TO REMODEL YOUR BATH

5 SIGNS – IT’S TIME TO REMODEL YOUR BATH

1) THE LITTLE THINGS START TO GO WRONG – All bathrooms are prone to everyday wear & tear, but some problems require more than a simple repair job. Depending on the cost of serious repairs, it may make sense to spend a little more and create a brand new bathroom.

2) YOU’RE STUCK IN A RETRO RUT – While it’s true that yesterday’s trends often resurface, some are best left in the past. If your bathroom sends you into a time warp, it’s due for an update.

3) YOU’RE THINKING OF SELLING YOUR HOME – Making relatively small changes is a smart way to raise your home’s value. You can appreciate your home’s worth if you have an older house and update an obsolete bathroom.

4) YOUR FAMILY’S NEEDS SHIFT – When your family situation changes, so does it’s needs. People often remodel or add a second bathroom when they have children on the way. Also, as aging adults find their mobility changing, they may be more comfortable in rooms designed for their needs.

5) YOUR BATHROOM ISN’T “YOU” – Standard-issue faucets and fixtures may be functional, but there’s nothing distinctive about them. If these details don’t fit your personal taste, it doesn’t take much to find a look that goes with your style. Whether you prefer classic lines or sleek modern curves, a few small changes can make a big impact.
