California Outdoor Living in Rancho Santa Margarita

California rooms are an open-air transition room, usually serving as a seamless extension of a home’s great room or dining area. It is a place where a homeowner can both unwind or entertain guests and is quickly becoming one of the most popular design trends. These homeowners, in Rancho Santa Margarita, hit the mark by creating a luxurious experience, tailor made for quiet contemplation and family entertainment.

As part of a whole home remodel, the downstairs Family Room provides a cohesive flow into a stunning 534 square foot California Room. Aluminum, multi sliding glass doors open up to a massive indoor/ outdoor living space, reminiscent of a family room. Stamped concrete decorative stones in limestone, marble and granite were used contiguously, detailing fine craftsmanship in the flooring.

Inspired by nature, two stone pillars add texture in mixed shades of ‘Deserto Naturo’ porcelain tiles. One pillar features a built-in, switch operated, gas fireplace and a spot for a large TV above. The other pillar features a unique Alfresco gas pizza oven as well as a gas BBQ and beverage fridge. Vinyl accordion-style kitchen windows open all the way to allow for easy pass through over a white quartz Caesarstone countertop with additional seating.

The showstopper in this luxurious addition might just be the drop-dead-gorgeous tight-knot cedar ceiling. This insect resistant ceiling includes 3 skylights, 2 fans, 2 radiant heaters, built-in speakers and perfectly placed recessed lighting. If you look closely, you can also spot a hidden, remote operated, drop-down projector screen including a theater projector hiding in a little wooden box above the entryway.

An Enchanting Anaheim Kitchen Remodel

If you have a small, closed off kitchen and are thinking about removing some walls, you may want to consider an open-concept floor plan. They encourage casual family dining, conversations with the cook, and effortless entertainment. Connecting the kitchen and the dining area also makes for easy serving and a more welcoming feel.

When kitchens are open to other areas of the house, it makes the space appear larger than it is. In this Anaheim structural kitchen remodel, we removed the dividing dining room wall to open up the space as well as create a new dining nook. This open floor plan created an easy flow from the cooking area into the new dining nook including a built-in banquette with seating around a small table. A designated coffee station is placed conveniently next to the banquette with floating shelves that enhance the airy look.

Built in panels hide the appliances while also matching with the perimeter walls of ‘Elemental White’ semi-custom cabinetry by Omega. With seating, storage, hidden outlets and a white quartz stone countertop, the large island is a perfect spot for entertaining guests. The chinchilla-stained Omega Island cabinetry adds a warm, rustic feel including a 36” slide-in induction range with a magnetic glass cooktop.

Emphasizing its timeless and elegant features, a dry bar with white Omega cabinets was added to create more storage, including 2 charming glass inserts. A full-sized wine refrigerator, perfect for the couple that shares a romantic glass in the evenings, adds another entertainment element to the kitchen. New Bedrosian porcelain tile flooring was also installed throughout the entire downstairs in a neutral cream color.

Fountain Valley Kitchen Remodel With A Timeless Design

Classic white kitchens are a timeless look and a trend that won’t be going away anytime soon. They are a versatile blank canvas that can be transformed into any style by making simple changes to hardware or even the surrounding décor. These homeowners from Fountain Valley worked with a designer from Sea Pointe to transform their dated, 1970’s kitchen into a timeless look with an entirely new layout.

With approximately 255 square feet of kitchen space to redesign, our clients chose a palette of classic white colors to create a light and airy feeling. Omega full access cabinets in ‘Oyster White’ made for the perfect backdrop including a hazelnut glaze that adds depth and texture to the cabinetry. The dynamic gold veining patterns found in the polished quartz countertops by Vadara, exudes elegance within the Aurora White background. The 33” undermount single-bowl kitchen sink emanates a contemporary look with a Champagne bronze single-handle pull-down faucet, beverage faucet and matching soap dispenser.

The unique ceramic backsplash blends into the background with an ethereal display of glossy white Emser subway tiles. A champagne bronze pot filler by Delta adds a warm touch mounted into the wall above the gas cooktop. Stainless-steel appliances blend seamlessly with the white décor including a wall mounted hood, refrigerator, dishwasher and a combo microwave/oven. Deep drawers with soft closing functions, drop in spice racks and storage trays were also included in the design, featuring honey bronze pulls.

Following the new Elysium porcelain flooring to the other side of the kitchen is a built-in desk with matching cabinetry and countertops. Two peekaboo floating shelves allow light to flow through into the living area while also adding storage and visual appeal. A corner for a coffee station was also included in the design with under cabinet LED lighting and hidden outlets.

Charming Modern Farmhouse Kitchen Remodel in San Clemente

Modern Farmhouse design is a sophisticated look with an elegantly subtle and uncomplicated feel. It mixes the relaxed farmhouse look with a neutral color scheme, glossy accents, and clean lines. In this charming kitchen remodel, our designer blends the two styles together to create a bright open space incorporating contemporary design elements with sleek natural materials.

This kitchen in San Clemente was built on a second-floor loft with limited space and zero functionality. With the removal of a peninsula and extension of the overall layout, a new room with an open floor plan was ready to be redesigned.

Opting for a cleaner, brighter look, the walls were transformed with floor-to-ceiling, snow white shaker cabinets by Mantra (a subsidiary of Master Brand Cabinets, Inc) including matte black pull handles. The backsplash brings a touch of color and texture with Bedrosian glazed ceramic wall tiles in eight shades of “Chloe White”. Adding additional storage as well as visual interest are three white oak floating shelves sitting above a 48” stainless steel slide in range. The custom framed vent hood features a neutral white oak trim, stained to match the new Elysium porcelain plank flooring.

Enhancing the overall aesthetic of the kitchen, a free-standing island adds extra counterspace as well as additional storage. Inspired by the sunrise, the Vadara polished quartz countertops feature a white background with dynamic light grey and gold veining. Two concrete dome pendants rest above the mineral gray island cabinetry by Mantra, including a built-in microwave drawer.
